We had a newborn photo shoot with Barefoot and I can’t say enough nice things about it! The team visited us at home for the shoot, they showed infinite gentleness and patience with our little one, the babies comfort came across as the most important thing! We have just received our images, on the exact day we were told we would get them, and I absolutely love every one of them. The hardest part now will be choosing one or two to print! As someone who has never really been photogenic, booking barefoot Dubai’s new Mompreneur Portrait shoot to get some portraits taken for my website was quite daunting. However, from the moment I arrived in the studio both Alex and Sapphire made me feel very comfortable. Within minutes I was laughing and felt very relaxed in front of the camera. The whole shoot was great fun. And what was exceptional was not only the quality of the photographs, but also how actually empowering it is to go through this process, I felt confident, happy and quite relaxed throughout the whole shoot, seeing the images at the end is simply the cherry on the top. There were over 30 shots I loved that were delivered on the web page from the BFD team, with one in particular that I believe truly captured the REAL me and the image I wanted to portray on my website. I don’t think any other photographer would have been able to take such a great shot. If you are looking for a professional photography team, that will truly capture who you are AND make you look great, I would absolutely recommend Barefoot Dubai. We recently completed a Indian movie (2 States) themed photo shoot, since that is the theme for our wedding as well. We absolutely loved the photos, as they were able to recreate the movie posters and images quite brilliantly. Based on their recommendation, we were able to print and use a map as our background, which was the highlight of the shoot. Despite a very short notice, Alex was very accommodating with our photoshoot request and timelines, organised our shoot and gave great advice on practicalities. For the shoot itself, our photographer Sapphire did a great job, was embracing our ideas and captured them very well. Team Barefoot, first of all many thanks for making our son Ahyan’s first birthday so special. A Cake Smash photo shoot! First, we were a bit anxious seeing Ahyan a bit off-mood just before the event. Thanks to very chirpy Ruth and cool Sapphire from Barefoot to turn the situation into a small pre-cake smash party with Ahyan enjoying every bit of singing and cheering. Then… what great shots! In a very smooth way. For sure it was lots of experience showing up when we saw how Sapphire made Ahyan so comfortable with everything and gave us small tips on the fly to ensure that Ahyan’s tempo continued. The little rockstar was all charged up and was enjoying being a centre of attraction we had to literally take 10 inches tall cake away from him, to bring the event to closure. And when the photographs came we re-lived the moments once again and loved each and every snap. Real smashing experience it was. Thank you Sapphire. I’ve lived in Dubai for seven years and worked with a lot of photographers here, and have to say that working with Alex and the entire Barefoot team was one of the best experiences I’ve had. It was fascinating to watch the Barefoot team work so closely and seamlessly together. They were so kind, creative, helpful and all had a great sense of humour – which is important when working with both a newborn, toddler AND tired parents who are not getting much sleep! I think it also helps that Alex is a father too – so he understands first hand the kind of shots that you want to capture. We were able to view the shots as we were taking them, which was so lovely to see (and also helpful for new Mums still trying to hide the baby weight!) Another reason we booked Barefoot is because they provide so many great photos. I know that some photographers prefer to charge per photo, or only provide 20 or so, with extra fees for additional photos. Barefoot provide 30 – 40 at least which is fantastic, at no additional charge! They also provided all of the digital photos in colour, sepia and black and white so that we could easily decide how we’d like to view them. I simply can’t sing Barefoot Dubai’s praises enough – they were an absolute delight and I’m planning on booking them each year to take some family snaps. Katie Fielder, Emirates News, Dubai
